Biography

Clayton Dillard is a lecturer in the Department of English at University of Texas at Arlington, USA. His scholarship focuses on film adaptation, horror, global cinema, and the intersections of popular genre and art cinema. His work has appeared in edited collections, peer-reviewed journals, and reference volumes, with recent and forthcoming publications on Dario Argento, Tobe Hooper, and made-for-television horror. He has also contributed scholarly visual essays for boutique physical media labels such as Terror Vision, Deaf Crocodile, and Imprint. In addition to his academic work, he writes film criticism for Slant Magazine.
