Dr. Dalia Ghanem is a political scientist and one of the foremost international experts on Algerian politics, civil-military relations, and regional security. With over two decades of research and policy experience, she has held senior analytical and research positions at premier global institutions, including the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut and the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) in Paris. She is the author of Understanding the Persistence of Competitive Authoritarianism in Algeria (2022).
