Frank Kusch is a historian and writer whose previous books include Battleground Chicago: The Police and the 1968 Democratic National Convention (2008) and All American Boys: Draft Dodgers in Canada from the Vietnam War (2001). He has taught American history at the University of Saskatchewan and has worked as an editor, communications specialist, and student aid administrator.
