Jean Hansell and her husband Peter spent many years travelling round Great Britain and researching its dovecotes. Armed with cameras and notebooks, they combined the pleasures of exploration in both urban areas and unspoilt countryside with the joys of discovering dovecotes and the many kind and generous people on whose land they stand.
