Hayley Nolan is a historian, a TEDx Speaker on Anne Boleyn, Associate of King’s College London, and is currently at the University of Oxford undertaking her second master’s degree. Her biography Anne Boleyn: 500 Years of Lies was the Independent ‘Book of the Month’ and an Amazon History No. 1 bestseller. Hayley completed her first master’s degree at King’s College London in partnership with the British Library’s manuscript department. It was also at King’s College London that Hayley presented the world’s first TEDx talk on her specialist subject of Anne Boleyn. In 2025, she joined The London Archives research project Switching the Lens, searching for Londoners of African, Asian and Caribbean heritage between 1538-1837. Hayley worked with Houses of Parliament to launch the #BeMoreBoleyn campaign, in which she provided tangible steps for women to get involved in politics inspired by Anne Boleyn’s political activism. Now at the University of Oxford, Hayley is conducting an original Tudor research project for an MSt in History. With over 25 million views on her history TikToks to date, Hayley continues to disseminate her research to an audience of almost 200,000 history followers.
