Jeevan R. Sharma

Jeevan R Sharma is Professor and Personal Chair of South Asia and International Development at the University of Edinburgh. He is the author of Crossing the Border to India: Youth, Migration and Masculinities in Nepal, Temple University Press, 2018, 2024 (South Asian Edition published by Bloomsbury Academic India in 2019), and Political Economy of Social Change and Development (Bloomsbury Academic, 2021). He is a regular media commentator on labour migration, social and political developments in Nepal and has contributed to reports and participated in interviews for the BBC World Service, BBC News, New York Times, Science, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Inquiry, ABC, Fox News, Al Jazeera, South China Morning Post, The Economic Times, Christian Science Monitor and several other news outlets.
