Borderless Asia: Initiative for Asian Integration, conceptualised by Prof. (Dr.) Rama Prosad Banerjee, is a continuing platform for promoting dialogue, collaboration and integration among the people and nations of Asia, with a broader vision of contributing to global human unity.
Rooted in Asia's rich civilisational, cultural and philosophical heritage, the Initiative seeks to identify shared values, common aspirations and opportunities for cooperation while respecting the diversity of Asian societies. It recognises Asia's growing economic, technological, intellectual and entrepreneurial strength and emphasises that sustainable development must be accompanied by human values, mutual respect, coexistence, inclusivity and collective wellbeing.
Since 2018, the Initiative has brought together academicians, business leaders, educators, researchers, policymakers and thinkers through international conferences and dialogues across Bangkok, Singapore, Kolkata, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City. Its successive Chapters have explored themes ranging from borderless business and Asian leadership to marketing, industry, technology, sustainability, work, life and global emergence.
The Initiative envisions a Borderless Asia where knowledge, ideas, people and opportunities can flow through greater understanding and cooperation. It seeks to nurture a collective Asian consciousness that embraces diversity while recognising common humanity-and to contribute, through Asian values and collaboration, to a more inclusive, sustainable and humane global society.
