Description
This open access book argues for a closer look at applications of ecofeminism in popular genre fiction. As discussions of the development of climate change and new understandings of the term “Anthropocene” are being circulated in the public now more than ever, creators are using their fictional spaces to perform thought experiments of moral, scientific, and social approaches to addressing our eco-future. While engaging with aspects of environmentalism in fiction is not new, its presence is increasing across media. This book examines the ways popular genre fiction inspires conversations, ideas, and approaches to living and surviving within the Anthropocene.
