Lisa Maxwell Arter is an award-winning educator, author, and scholar with more than 30 years of experience working with adolescents, teens, and young adults and over a decade of experience preparing future teachers. As Director of English Education, she brings deep expertise in adolescent development and life-readiness education, has led statewide English education conferences, and designed outreach programs for teens. Her research spans adolescent development, curriculum innovation, and the role of education in supporting students’ life-readiness skills.
