Description

Drawing upon the wealth of ecocritical scholarship on island studies, new materialism, and posthumanism, this volume proposes a new conceptualization of the world's deltas intended to articulate the novel situation regarding the multiple imaginations and entry points to approaching the symbiotic relation between water and land. The focus on the global deltaic ecosystem within these frameworks, deviating from Eurocentrism, allows for critical insights into and reflections on the relationship between humans and nonhumans, waterways, and cities.
