Bloomsbury Studies in Reactionary Politics

Bloomsbury Studies in Reactionary Politics focuses on cutting-edge, critical research on reactionary politics, with explorations of the big political debates currently happening globally such as on gender, disability, race, class, emergence of the far right, populism, fascism, climate denialism and the climate emergency to make sense of some of the biggest political challenges and politically divisive issues of our times.

This is a modern, flexible field with interdisciplinary appeal within political science, critical race studies, environmental politics, gender studies and technology studies.

This series publishes bold research that not only provides new understandings of the way reactionary politics have resurged and become mainstream but how to counter them.

Aurelien Mondon (he/him) is a Professor of Politics at the University of Bath. He is the author or editor of titles including The Ethics of Researching the Far Right (2024). His work appears in mainstream and expert outlets around the world, including CNN, The Guardian, The Independent, Libération, Newsweek, Le Soir, Mediapart and Al Jazeera.

Fran Amery (she/her) is Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Bath. She is the author of titles including Beyond Pro-Life and Pro-Choice: The Changing Politics of Abortion in Britain (2020).
