Anna J. Brecke Assistant Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at New England Institute of Technology, and a Lecturer in Literary Arts and Studies at Rhode Island School of Design, USA. Her book publications include Widening the Sphere: Mid-to-Late Victorian Popular Fiction, Gender Representation, and Canonicity (2021). Her research focuses are Gender in Popular Media, and True Crime, from the nineteenth century to today. She co-chairs the True Crime, and Women's and Feminist Studies areas at the Mid-Atlantic Popular and American Culture Association, where she also serves as a board member.
