Jennifer Steele is a professor at the Linda A. and H. Kent Baker School of Education at American University. She has spent a decade teaching science-based decision making to policymakers. The author of dozens of scholarly articles and monographs, she has worked as a policy researcher at the RAND Corporation and served as a François Chevalier Fellow at the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study. Her writing has appeared in Salon, Fast Company, The Washington Post, The Hill, The Conversation, and Education Week, and she has been a television commentator for NBC, CBS, CGTN, and other outlets. She resides with her family outside Washington, DC.
