T&T Clark Studies in Neo-Calvinism
Cory Brock (Series Editor), Marinus de Jonge (Series Editor), N. Gray Sutanto (Series Editor), James Eglinton (Series Editor)
This series publishes state-of-the-art scholarly monographs and edited volumes on the tradition of neo-Calvinism, which stems from the work and influence of Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920) and Herman Bavinck (1854-1921). It capitalises on the lively and ongoing significance of Kuyper’s and Bavinck’s legacy in contemporary theology and philosophy. Neo-Calvinism was started by Kuyper and Bavinck as a theological movement that sought to retrieve creedal and orthodox Christianity for the sake of the modern world. While it began as a Dutch program in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, it has quickly become a global influence, with readers and advocates spanning across Europe, North and South America, South Africa, Asia (particularly in China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia), and Australia. This series joins the fray by suggesting potent ways that Neo-Calvinism continues to be a resource for contemporary Christian engagements in modernity.
