Description
According to Rolling Stone magazine, Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols, released in 1977, 'changed everything'. The LP was not the first punk album but remains certainly the most influential punk record of all time.
Without Never Mind the Bollocks, there would be no Slits, no Joy Division, no Cure, no Smiths and no Nirvana. The Sex Pistols inspired a generation of young people to form bands, create art and write their own magazines. The 'punk spirit' was synonymous with rebellion and revolution promoting a new consciousness and challenging to the societal norms of gender, class and race.
But behind these lofty achievements the Sex Pistols were an incredibly exciting and powerful rock band and Never Mind the Bollocks captures that essence, a milestone recording that still holds up today. Each song on the perfectly crafted LP tells a story, the tale of the Sex Pistols incredible insurrection.
