Caroline-Isabelle Caron

Caroline-Isabelle Caron is an Associate Professor at Queen’s University’s Department of History in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Specializing in 19th- and 20th-century Francophone cultural history and North American popular culture, she looks at representations of the past (genealogies, legends, commemorations) and representations of the future (speculative fiction) and their intersections in the present. She has published on many television and cinematic storyworlds, such as Star Trek, Dans une galaxie près de chez vous, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, among others. In looking at both the past and the future, she explores questions of identity, community, ethnicity, historicism and knowledge making.
