Gillian Dow is Associate Professor of English at the University of Southampton, UK. She is the editor of several collections of essays on European Women Writers of the long eighteenth century, including (with Clare Hanson) Uses of Austen: Jane’s Afterlives (2012). From 2014-2019, she served as Executive Director of Chawton House Library.
