Jeannette A. Bastian is Professor Emerita at the School of Library and Information Science, Simmons University and currently Honorary Fellow in the University of the West Indies Department of Library and Information Studies. Her research focuses on archives and records theory as it relates to issues of collective memory, decolonization, and community archives. Her many publications include two books co-edited with Stanley Griffin, Decolonizing the Caribbean Record, an Archives Reader (Litwin, 2018), and Archiving Caribbean Identity, Records, Community, Memory (Routledge,2022). Her most recent single-authored publication is Archiving Cultures; Heritage, Community and the Making of Records and Memory (Routledge, 2023).
