Biography

Mohamed Saliou Camara is a Professor of History, Philosophy, and Journalism at Howard University, with an MA and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University obtained on a Fulbright scholarship. He is the author of seven books and numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters; the head editor of one manograph and co-editor of another; the editor of two upcoming books, the Editor-in-Chief of the Howard Journal of African Studies (HUJAS), and the winner of the 2023 Grand Prix de la Francophonie. In Guinea, Camara served as Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Associate Chair of the Philosophy Department, President of the University of Conakry Press, Journalists at the National Radio and Television Network (RTG), and speech writer for the Press Bureau of the Presidency of the Republic of Guinea.
