Valentina Pricopie is a senior researcher at the Institute of Sociology, Romanian Academy, where she coordinates the Social Europe Research Laboratory. Her research areas focus on: media discourse, transformation of journalism, and social representations; Europe, the idea of Europe, and European memory studies; history of sociology and sociology of human rights. She has relevant methodological and analytical competencies in both qualitative (critical discourse analysis, frame/thematic analysis, qualitative content analysis) and quantitative (surveys and secondary data analysis) studies, and has worked on impressive corpora of newspapers, on line contents, and parliamentary debates.
