Description
This book is an exploration of the experiences of transgender people living in Texas, one of the most hostile states for gender minorities in the United States. Drawing from 50 in-depth interviews with trans people across Texas, this book captures the diverse ways trans Texans navigate resources, access healthcare, and fight for their rights. It also highlights the powerful formal and informal community networks that provide support, resources, and solidarity in an oppressive state, and sheds light on both the challenges that trans Texans face, but also their resilience.
